Our Services
You get one crew for the whole season. We design your display, supply commercial-grade LED lights, hang everything, fix any outages mid-season, take it all down in January, and store it until next year. Installs run from October 15 through December 10.
The process is simple. You send the form or call, we price your home from a photo and your roofline details, and we lock in your install date. On install day the crew custom-fits the lights, tests every strand, and sets your timer before leaving.
Here is what we install:
- Roofline lighting — C9 bulbs in warm white or multicolor, cut to fit your roofline exactly
- Tree wrapping — trunks and branches wrapped in mini lights
- Walkway and shrub lighting — lighted stakes and net lights that frame your yard
- Wreaths and garland — lit greenery for entries, railings, and windows
- Commercial displays — storefronts, offices, and multi-building properties
You never buy, untangle, or store a single strand. We own the lights, so when something fails, replacing it is our problem — not yours.
About Midwest Breeze Landscaping
We are a year-round landscaping company based in Addison, and our holiday lighting crews are the same people who care for lawns and landscapes across Chicagoland every season. We spend all year working on properties like yours, so we know how to move across lawns, planting beds, and rooflines without damaging anything.
That matters more than it sounds. Hanging lights well takes ladder work, careful measuring, and respect for your gutters, shingles, and shrubs — the exact skills our crew uses every week. And because we work all year, we are easy to reach in January when it is time for takedown, not just in November when it is time to sell.
We are licensed and insured, and every estimate is free. If we already handle your lawn or grounds, holiday lighting is one more thing off your winter list — handled by people you know.
Commercial Christmas Lighting
We install commercial holiday lighting for storefronts, restaurants, offices, and multi-building properties across the Chicago suburbs. You get one point of contact, a display that goes up on schedule, and a crew that comes back fast if a section goes dark during the season. Tell us the date your display needs to be on, and we will work back from it.
Commercial packages cover the same full cycle as our residential installs: design, commercial-grade LED lights, installation, mid-season maintenance, January takedown, and off-season storage. Certificates of insurance are available for property managers and HOA approval.
Many of our commercial clients already know us from commercial grounds maintenance. Adding holiday lighting means one more job handled by a contractor who is already on your property.
Christmas Light Installation Cost
Most roofline installs across the Chicago suburbs run $400–$2,800 for the season, depending on the size of your home. Full-property displays — roofline plus trees, walkways, and greenery — run $1,000–$7,000. The table below shows where most homes land.
Three things move your quote more than anything else: roofline footage, the number of stories, and roof pitch and access. A long ranch roofline can take more light than a compact two-story home. Steep pitches and hard-to-reach peaks add labor time, which adds cost.
| Home size | Roofline only | Full property |
|---|---|---|
| Modest homes | $400–$900 | $1,000–$2,200 |
| Mid-size homes | $600–$1,300 | $1,400–$3,000 |
| Large homes | $800–$1,800 | $2,000–$4,200 |
| Estate homes | $1,200–$2,800 | $3,000–$7,000 |
Here is how to place your home in the table. A modest home is a compact ranch or split-level with a simple roofline. Mid-size covers most two-story suburban homes, while large means long rooflines, multiple peaks, or three stories. Estate homes carry extended rooflines and bigger grounds, which is why tree and walkway work pushes the top of that range.
Every seasonal quote includes commercial-grade LED lights, a custom-fit install, mid-season maintenance, January takedown, and off-season storage. You pay one price for the whole season — there are no takedown or storage add-ons later.
When you compare quotes, make sure every company is bidding the same thing. Ask whether the lights are included or leased, whether takedown and storage cost extra, and who pays when a strand fails in December. Our answer to all three: it is included.
Quotes do not include tree removal or trimming, and they do not include permanent lighting systems, which are priced separately below.
Permanent LED Lighting
Want lights that never come down? Permanent LED systems run $20–$40 per linear foot, installed once in a low-profile track along your roofline. You control colors and schedules from an app, so the same system does warm white in December and any color you like the rest of the year. Pricing depends on the same things as a seasonal install: linear footage, stories, and access.
Permanent LED costs more up front than a seasonal install, but there is nothing to hang, store, or re-quote each fall. Ask about it on your estimate and we will price both options for your home.
What We Install
These are the display styles we build most. Mix and match them — most homes combine a roofline with one or two accents, and your estimate will show a price for each piece. Every style comes in warm white or multicolor, and because we own the lights, you can change the look in a future season without buying anything.
Service Area
We install Christmas lights in 15 towns across the western suburbs, the northwest suburbs, and the North Shore. Tap your town for local pricing, common home styles, and booking details. If your town is not listed but you are nearby, call us — we may still be able to route you in.
Our crews run daily routes out of Addison, which keeps scheduling tight during the busy weeks before Thanksgiving. Book early and you get first pick of install dates on your route.

Why We're Different
We publish our pricing. In our research, most Chicagoland holiday lighting companies make you call before they will share a single number. Our ranges are on this page, so you know what a fair quote looks like before you talk to anyone.
Takedown and storage are included, not upsells. The price you see covers the full cycle — install, mid-season fixes, January takedown, and storage until next fall.
And we are a year-round company, not a seasonal pop-up. The crew that hangs your lights in November is the same crew working in the suburbs in July, and we will still be easy to reach in January when the lights come down.
Testimonials
Holiday lighting is our newest service, so these Google reviews come from our landscaping customers — served by the same crew that will hang your lights.
I have used Midwest Breeze Landscaping several times in the past, and will be using them much more in the future. They are not afraid of the challenging projects, and work hard to earn your business. Dedicated and hard working, they make it happen no matter what. You will not be disappointed.
George Arvanites — Google review (landscaping)
I'm very happy with the work they have done for me. Kosta goes out of his way to accommodate his customers in any way he can. His staff members are also so professional and polite. I would recommend him for any landscaping a person needs to have done.
Nancy Gerstmayr — Google review (landscaping)
I have used Midwest Breeze for my personal home for the last 2 years and have been very happy with each interaction. When I needed help at a client site with a landscape project I hired them. They completed the task to both my satisfaction and my clients. It is great when a company can make everyone happy. The best part was they came in on budget and early on the timeline.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide the lights and clips?
Yes. We supply commercial-grade LED lights, clips, timers, and all hardware, custom-fit to your home. You never buy or store anything. Because we own the lights, we replace any bulb or strand that fails during the season at no charge.
Is takedown included?
Yes. We take everything down in January and store it for you until next season. Takedown and storage are built into every quote — they are never an extra charge.
Are you insured?
Yes. Midwest Breeze Landscaping is licensed and insured, and our crews work on ladders and rooflines year-round. Certificates of insurance are available for HOA approval, and we suggest asking any company that will be on your roof for proof of insurance before they climb.
When should I book my installation?
Book by November 15. Installs run from October 15 through December 10, and the earliest bookings get first pick of install dates. If you want your lights on before Thanksgiving, reach out in October.
What happens if my lights go out mid-season?
Call us and we will fix them at no charge. Mid-season maintenance is included with every install, so if a bulb burns out or a whole section goes dark, we come back and make it right.
How much does Christmas light installation cost?
Most roofline installs across the Chicago suburbs run $400–$2,800 for the season, and full-property displays run $1,000–$7,000. The biggest factors are roofline footage, the number of stories, and roof pitch and access. Estimates are free, and a photo of your home speeds yours up.
