A Trusted Local Holiday Lighting Crew
We'll be straight with you: holiday lighting is the newest service on our truck. The crew behind it isn't new, though. Midwest Breeze is a licensed, insured landscaping company whose people already spend the whole year on ladders, in trees, and along rooflines — hanging lights is squarely inside what they do every week.
So we won't pretend to be a decades-old holiday lighting institution. What we will promise: full-time employees rather than seasonal temps, real liability coverage with certificates of insurance available for HOA approval, and one flat quote that covers design, installation, mid-season maintenance, January takedown, and off-season storage. If we're going to earn this market, it starts with doing exactly that.
Why Palatine Homeowners Love Professional Holiday Lighting
Mostly because of what it ends: climbing frozen ladders, untangling half-dead strings, and hunting for the one bulb that killed the whole run. A professional install replaces all of it with commercial-grade LEDs, custom cut to your roofline, on a timer, and guaranteed to stay lit all season.
The housing stock here rewards it, too. The 1960s-through-80s ranches and two-story homes that fill these blocks mostly carry straightforward rooflines, which keeps professional installation firmly in the mid-price tier rather than estate territory. You get the crisp, even, every-bulb-lit look that hand-me-down strings can't match — without a luxury-home price tag attached.
Why Choose Midwest Breeze
Because one call can cover your whole winter, not just your lights. We're a year-round outdoor company: the crew that installs your display in November is the same one that can clear your driveway in January through our snow removal service, and plenty of customers bundle the two.
On the lighting itself: estimates are free, we supply and own the commercial-grade LEDs, mid-season repairs are included, takedown happens in January, and storage in our shop until next season costs nothing extra. No lights to buy, no bins in your garage, no ladder in the snow. If you're comparing quotes, compare what's included — ours is the whole season, in writing.

Christmas Light Installation Cost in Palatine
Most Palatine roofline installs run $600–$1,300 for the season, and full-property displays — roofline plus trees, walkways, and wreaths — run $1,400–$3,000.
| Install type | Typical seasonal price |
|---|---|
| Roofline only | $600–$1,300 |
| Full property | $1,400–$3,000 |
Some installers in this market advertise starting points — one starts residential projects around $1,000, another franchise from $499 — but a starting point isn't a quote. Our range is what homes like these actually land in, all-in: commercial-grade LED lights, custom-fit installation, mid-season maintenance, January takedown, and off-season storage. Not included: permanent systems and tree removal or trimming.
The three biggest quote movers are roofline footage, number of stories, and roof pitch and access. Want lights that never come down? Permanent LED systems run $20–$40 per linear foot — details on our Christmas light installation service page.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Christmas light installation cost?
For most homes in this area, roofline-only installs run $600–$1,300 and full-property displays run $1,400–$3,000 — the full breakdown is in our pricing section above. That's an all-season price including lights, maintenance, takedown, and storage, not a labor-only figure. Estimates are free.
How early should I book holiday lighting installation?
By November 15 at the latest — that's our booking deadline, and the best install dates go well before it. Installs run October 15 through December 10. If you want your lights up before Thanksgiving, booking in October is the safe play.
What happens after the holidays?
We come back in January and take everything down — takedown is part of your original quote, not a separate charge. You don't need to be home. The crew removes every run and clip and leaves the roofline exactly as we found it.
Do you provide storage for holiday lights?
Yes. After takedown, your display is coiled, labeled by section of the house, and stored at our shop with your name on it — included, not an add-on. Next season's re-install goes faster because of it, and your garage shelves stay yours.
Do you also install wreaths, garland, and tree wrapping?
Yes — lit wreaths, garland for railings and entryways, and trunk-and-branch tree wrapping are all part of the full-property tier. Mature front-yard trees take mini-light wrapping especially well. Tell us what you're picturing on the estimate form and we'll price it as one display.
Do I need to provide my own lights?
No — in fact, we only install lighting we supply. Our commercial-grade LEDs are built for outdoor commercial use, and because we own them, every mid-season repair or replacement is on us, not you. You never buy, fix, or store a strand.
Customer Reviews
Holiday lighting is new for us this season, so the Google reviews below come from our landscaping work — same crew, same standards.
I'm very happy with the work they have done for me. Kosta goes out of his way to accommodate his customers in any way he can. His staff members are also so professional and polite. I would recommend him for any landscaping a person needs to have done.
Nancy Gerstmayr — Google review (landscaping)
I have used Midwest Breeze for my personal home for the last 2 years and have been very happy with each interaction. When I needed help at a client site with a landscape project I hired them. They completed the task to both my satisfaction and my clients. It is great when a company can make everyone happy. The best part was they came in on budget and early on the timeline.
Russell Snella — Google review (landscaping)
Midwest Breeze did an awesome job burying my downspout for better drainage. The crew showed up on time, walked me through their plan, and made sure the new drainage line was routed in a way that actually makes sense for my yard long-term. Overall, I'm very happy with the result and would definitely use Midwest Breeze again for future landscaping or drainage work.

Service Area
We serve Palatine and the surrounding northwest suburbs, including Rolling Meadows, Arlington Heights, Inverness, and Hoffman Estates, along our existing winter routes. Route density matters in this business — the more homes we light in one area, the faster we respond when a repair call comes in. That's why we're building this territory deliberately this season, and why early bookings here get priority scheduling and first choice of install dates.
