Christmas Lights Installation
We handle the whole job: design, custom-fit installation, mid-season maintenance, January takedown, and off-season storage. You never climb a ladder and you never buy a light — we supply commercial-grade LEDs and stand behind them all season for one flat price.
Our shop sits about ten minutes away in Addison, which puts you in the fastest response tier we offer. If a section goes dark, we can usually swing by within a day or two, not next week. And because most homes in town have compact, straightforward rooflines, installs here go quickly — which keeps quotes at the low end of what we charge anywhere.
Why Our Customers Choose Midwest Breeze
Because the price you're quoted covers the whole season, not just the hanging. Estimates are free, and every install includes:
- Commercial-grade LED lights we supply, own, and guarantee
- Custom fitting, cut to your roofline — no sagging, no leftover coil
- Mid-season maintenance at no charge
- January takedown and off-season storage in our shop
- A licensed and insured crew, not seasonal subcontractors
We're a landscaping company first, so the people on your roof already work on ladders, gutters, and trees every week of the year. Holiday lighting is our newest service, but the crew doing it is not new.
How Our Christmas Light Installation Works
Four steps, start to finish:
- Free estimate. Call or send your address with a photo of the front of your home. Most quotes go out within one business day.
- Design and price. We map the roofline, help you pick colors and styles, and give you one flat number for the season.
- Install day. The crew custom-fits every run, sets an outdoor timer, and cleans up completely before leaving. Installs run October 15 through December 10.
- Takedown and storage. In January we remove everything, coil it, label it, and store it until next year at no extra charge.
Christmas Light Installation Cost in Itasca
Most Itasca roofline installs run $400–$900 for the full season. Adding trees, walkways, and wreaths moves a display into the full-property range.
| Install type | Typical seasonal price |
|---|---|
| Roofline only | $400–$900 |
| Full property | $1,000–$2,200 |
Some Chicagoland installers advertise labor alone at $1.25–$3.00 per linear foot, with the lights costing extra on top. Our numbers are all-in: commercial-grade LED lights, custom-fit installation, mid-season maintenance, January takedown, and off-season storage. Not included: permanent lighting systems and tree removal or trimming.
Three things move a quote most: roofline footage, number of stories, and roof pitch and access. Want lights that never come down? Permanent LED systems run $20–$40 per linear foot — see our Christmas light installation service page.

About Midwest Breeze Landscaping
Midwest Breeze Landscaping is a licensed and insured company based in Addison, working across DuPage County year-round. Spring through fall we build and maintain landscapes; in winter the same crews run snow removal routes and hang holiday lights.
That year-round structure matters in two ways. First, the people on your roof in November are full-time employees who work at height all year, not temps hired for the season. Second, we're already nearby all winter — many customers bundle holiday lighting with snow removal so one company handles the whole season. Certificates of insurance are available on request.
Customer Reviews
Holiday lighting is our newest service — these Google reviews come from our landscaping customers, installed and cared for by the same crew.
Midwest Breeze did an awesome job burying my downspout for better drainage. The crew showed up on time, walked me through their plan, and made sure the new drainage line was routed in a way that actually makes sense for my yard long-term. Overall, I'm very happy with the result and would definitely use Midwest Breeze again for future landscaping or drainage work.

I'm very happy with the work they have done for me. Kosta goes out of his way to accommodate his customers in any way he can. His staff members are also so professional and polite. I would recommend him for any landscaping a person needs to have done.
Nancy Gerstmayr — Google review (landscaping)
I have used Midwest Breeze Landscaping several times in the past, and will be using them much more in the future. They are not afraid of the challenging projects, and work hard to earn your business. Dedicated and hard working, they make it happen no matter what. You will not be disappointed.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does professional Christmas light installation cost?
For modest single-story and two-story homes, roofline installs run $400–$900 all-in, and full-property displays run $1,000–$2,200. That price covers the lights themselves, installation, mid-season maintenance, January takedown, and storage. Estimates are free and usually back to you within one business day.
How many lights do I need for my house?
You don't have to figure that out — we measure your roofline and cut every run to fit, so you never pay for footage you don't use. A compact single-story needs far less than a sprawling two-story, which is why we quote from measurements, not package sizes.
Can I hire you to hang lights outside the holiday season?
Our standard installs run October 15 through December 10, but lighting for winter events outside that window can often be arranged — just ask. If you want lights that stay up year-round, permanent LED trim is the better tool for the job.
Do you offer design services for arranging my light display?
Yes, and it's built into every free estimate. We look at your roofline, trees, and entryway — in person or from your photo — and suggest a design that fits the house. You approve the plan and the price before anything is booked.
Will you take the lights down as well as install them?
Always. January takedown is included in every quote, along with off-season storage in our shop. We coil and label everything so next year's install goes up faster. You never touch a ladder or a storage bin.
Areas We Serve
We serve Itasca alongside the neighboring towns we already work in every week — Addison, Wood Dale, Roselle, Bloomingdale, and Elk Grove Village — plus the wider DuPage County area. Because the shop is so close, this route gets our fastest estimate turnaround and first pick of install dates. Just outside those towns? Call anyway — if we can route you efficiently, we'll take the job.
